The Family Life Center is a caring ministry that shows the love of Jesus by providing a supportive residential community for young women with unplanned pregnancies during their pregnancy and after their baby is born. Our church supports this ministry financially as well as with several volunteers helping out with services such as mentoring, childcare assistance, rides, and activities with clients.
Our church partners with Love in the Name of Christ in Allendale to provide life-empowering services to people having a difficult time in our community. Love INC provides the connection between churches, service agencies and local individuals or families to address needs, fill gaps and help people who are struggling financially, emotinally or spiritually. Many of our members assist in the work of Love INC by volunteering in the resale store, meeting with clients as life coaches and working on repair projects. On Tueday evenings Love INC hosts a Life Skills program in our church that helps clients develop skills for successful living. you can find more informatin about receiving assistance, or ways in which you might be able to help by clicking the link below.

A group of men from our church offer their skills in the service of their neighbors for a day each week, often working for the day on a Habitat for Humanity home in the area. These man have also been known to spend a few days working at Camp Michawana, a Christian camp in Hastings, or working on repair or remodeling projects around church.
Young Life doesn’t start with a program. It starts with adults who are concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don’t happen overnight — they take time, patience, trust and consistency.
So Young Life leaders log many hours with kids — where they are, as they are. We listen to their stories and learn what’s important to them because we genuinely care about their joys, triumphs, heartaches and setbacks.
We believe in the power of presence. Kids’ lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God’s love with them. Because their Young Life leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.
This is the first step of a lifelong journey; the choices they make today, based upon God’s love for them, will impact future decisions … careers chosen, marriages formed and families raised. All ripples from the time when a Young Life leader took time to reach out and enter their world.
High school students meet Mondays 8:00 – 9:00 pm at the Second Floor (Education Building.)
In WyldLife, we love middle school kids! They are full of life and yet experiencing profound emotional and physical changes.
Middle school is a time when kids make important decisions about who they are and what they believe. And so WyldLife leaders — who range from spiritually mature high school and college students to moms, dads and retirees — consider it a privilege to be involved in their lives. We seek to model and express God’s love to our young friends by learning their names, hearing their stories and honoring their God-given desire for a life of fun, adventure and purpose.
Middle school students meet Thursdays 7:00pm – 8:00pm at the Second Floor (Education Building.) Info: email or call Ryan –ryanpaulwhite@gmail.com or 616-822-6136.
For the past several summers a group of 15-20 people from age 12 to 80 have shown the love of Christ in a tangible way in a week-long serve trip in June helping out people who have been devastated by natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes and tornados. Recent trips have served in Biloxi, Mississippi, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Schoharie, New York and Henryville, Indiana, and have been coordinated with the Disaster Response Services (DRS) branch of our denominational relief agency, World Renew.
Quite a few couples and individuals from our congregation also serve for a week or more at different times throughout the year working with DRS on projects throughout North America.
